Not So Random Thoughts
Rabbi Ken Cohen
Religions don't dialogue. People do.
Experience behind us becomes healing.
Healing within us becomes wisdom.
Wisdom before us becomes vision.
Vision lifted above us becomes prayer.
Prayer reflected downward becomes wonder
Wonder shared with others becomes the greatest of all blessings, peace.
Change breeds fear.
Fear breeds anger.
Anger breeds violence.
Manage change wisely.
Fear breeds anger.
Anger breeds violence.
Manage change wisely.
.....when religion causes us to forget that other people are created in the Divine
image, when we are prepared to sacrifice others on the altar of our beliefs,
we become fanatics.
Just as there is naive belief, so there is naive unbelief. Just as there is a time to lose innocence, there is a time to regain innocence.
